Last Sunday (12), Brazil stole the spotlight at GGPoker by qualifying four players for the final table of the GGMillion$ High Rollers US$ 10,000. Alisson Piekazewicz had advanced as chip leader, and on Tuesday (14), he was able to confirm this favoritism and take the title.

Although he is a recurring figure in the most expensive GGPoker contests, Alisson Piekazewicz had never won the renowned GGMillion$. This first title came after he overcame a field of 133 entries, securing US$ 280,345 for the result. In addition, the player from Paraná also won a US$ 10,000 ticket for the GGMillion$ Live that will take place at this year’s WSOP Paradise.
Moreover, besides Piekazewicz, Brazil had Pedro Padilha reaching six figures by finishing in fourth place. For his performance, the Samba Team partner earned US$ 133,529. Finally, also representing the green and yellow flag in the final were Rodrigo Selouan (6th, US$ 81,438) and Dalton Hobold (7th, US$ 63,600).

Tuesday’s final table unfolded quickly, and also because of that, the heads-up was more studied, lasting about an hour. After some lead changes and small pots, a bluff attempt by Sven Andersson was fatal. On the Q64K8 board with three hearts, the Swede bet with J3o, but received the raise-shove from Piekazewicz, who had QQ. Andersson did not call to see.
Thus, Alisson Piekazewicz surged ahead, and a few hands later, holding ATs, he saw his opponent shove just over 10 bbs. The call came without difficulty, and Andersson revealed QJo. The 852T8 board with no flush possibilities confirmed the green and yellow victory.
