Matheus Mion turns US$ 25 into US$ 72 thousand on GGPoker; check it out

Tuesday (14) was full of great stories for Brazilian poker on the virtual tables of GGPoker. In addition to four players at the GGMillion$ FT, including a title, Matheus Mion was also a major character. In a contest of more than 100 thousand entries, he turned an affordable buy-in into a huge payout.

The feat of Matheus Mion came in the US$ 25 Mystery Bounty Mini Main. The competition was part of the Bounty Hunters Series and held multiple Day 1s, reaching a total field of 114,919 entries. From there, 9,246 players advanced, and among them, Mion reached fourth place. For this achievement, combining regular prize and bounties, he pocketed exactly US$ 72,947.

Besides Matheus Mion, two other Brazilians made the final table of the Mystery Bounty Mini Main. “EcceAgnusDei” came right after in fifth place, taking home US$ 48,843, while Guilherme Branco “guizera_”, Mion’s teammate on the Samba Team, finished sixth for US$ 36,902.

And still, throughout the regular GGPoker tournaments, Brazil continued to make its presence felt. Highlight goes to Erich Rodrigues, who reached third place among 5,257 entries in the US$ 54 Bounty Hunters Daily Main, earning US$ 9,899. In the US$ 44 Bounty Forty Stack, Brazil topped the leaderboard with Raphael Coelho “Phaelzin”, who beat 2,040 entries to take US$ 9,429.

In the US$ 150 Tuesday Classic, the house’s valuable weekly event, the best Brazilian reached fourth place. It was Guilherme Benatto, the “guitiradent1” on the site, who made the podium in a field of 1,038 competitors. For his performance, he received US$ 6,774.
