Therefore, the victory reinforces Kovalski’s special relationship with the Spanish festival. After all, four of the five biggest prizes in the Brazilian’s career came from tournaments played at EPT Barcelona. In 2022, he was runner-up in Event #67 US$ 7,000 Super Turbo Bounty at the WSOP in Las Vegas.
However, Kovalski’s biggest result in Barcelona is still the fourth place in the Main Event of the 2022 EPT Barcelona. On that occasion, the player received €565,280. The new title now stands as the second biggest prize of the Brazilian’s career.
Additionally, to win the trophy, Kovalski overcame a field of 1,027 entries. As a result, the tournament formed a prize pool of €2,988,570, while more than €1 million was allocated to the mystery bounties. Besides the Brazilian, well-known names from the circuit also reached the paid places.
