Felipe Boianovsky makes the podium in the Sunday High Roller of the WCOOP Boot Camp

Sunday (2) marked the start of the WCOOP Boot Camp, a series that warms up the engines of PokerStars for the traditional WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker) in the second half of the year. And right on the first day, Brazilians already made a strong presence, with Felipe Boianovsky leading the results.

Renowned Brazilian poker professional, Felipe Boianovsky took his nickname “lipe piv” to the podium of the US$ 1,050 Sunday High Roller, Event 4-High of the WCOOP Boot Camp. He finished in third place in the field of 77 entries, and for this performance, earned US$ 10,970.

When it comes to titles, Brazil also shone. In Event 2-Low (US$ 22 NLH PKO Series Kickoff), “kevwill07” was able to beat the entire field of 6,267 entries, turning the affordable buy-in into a prize of US$ 10,448.

In the same buy-in range, Brazil occupied the entire podium of Event 6-High (US$ 22 NLH Turbo PKO). Matheus Bocchi “elpsycongr0” was crowned champion, beating the 3,216 entries to take US$ 6,668, with Elvis Duminelli “ellviissss91” in second (US$ 4,271) and Raffael Brum “raffael_brum” in third (US$ 4,096).

And the winnings didn’t stop there. In 3-Low (US$ 55 NLH PKO Mini Bounty Builder HR), for example, Caique Carneiro “Caz_Carneiro” was fourth out of 4,156 for US$ 7,388. Moreover, “GodBleefe” was third out of 859 in 1-High (US$ 109 NLH Opener) for US$ 7,281. And also, “jaimico00793” placed fourth out of 624 in 2-High (US$ 215 PKO Series Kickoff), cashing US$ 7,136.
