Han Feng starred in one of the biggest comebacks in the final stretch of the WSOP 2026 Main Event. After returning from the dinner break with the smallest stack among the survivors, the American found the strength to double his chips and secure a spot in the tournament’s final table.

Thus, the turning point happened shortly before the final table was formed. Han Feng won an all-in against Lucas Jumalon, when his K high beat the opponent’s J high. From that confrontation, the player regained ground in the chip count and ended Day 8 with 25,000,000 chips, occupying eighth place.
In this way, Han Feng revealed that he had already accepted a possible elimination during the break. Even so, he took advantage of the opportunity when it appeared. “During the dinner break, I was already accepting that if I got eliminated, it was okay. And that hand of K6 against J8 was the first time I went all-in for my life in the tournament”, the player said in an interview with “PokerNews.”
However, besides the spot at the final table, the campaign also changed the American’s personal plans. Before qualifying, Han Feng had plans to rest. “After the WSOP, I planned to take a one-way trip to Europe and spend the rest of the year traveling or playing. But now those plans are postponed”, he said.

Consistent campaign in the tournament
Thus, throughout the Main Event, Han Feng built a solid trajectory and remained among the highlights at various moments. On Day 4, he was already among the top chip counts. Then, he surpassed the mark of 10 million chips during Day 6.
However, despite losing part of his stack in the following days, Han Feng managed to seize the decisive moments. Besides eliminating important opponents throughout the competition, he found the necessary double to stay alive when he had less than ten big blinds.
Finally, Han Feng will return to the WSOP 2026 Main Event on August 3 with 17 big blinds. Thus, the American still dreams of another comeback to compete for the US$ 10 million prize reserved for the world poker champion. It remains to be seen if the deck will keep dealing his cards.
