Throughout the weekend, the BSOP Winter crowned several champions in São Paulo (SP). Among the contests were some of the highest stakes, including the Super High Roller, which had the record buy-in of the stage, at R$ 100 thousand. And the best performer was Iago Botelho.

Renowned Brazilian poker professional, Iago Botelho won the valuable title by beating a field of 24 entries. For first place in the Super High Roller, he earned R$ 1 million, a prize even higher than that awarded to the Main Event champion of the festival.
Although recreational players joined the Super High Roller tables, the final stretch was dominated by professionals. In the heads-up, Iago Botelho defeated Gabriel Tavares in a Minas Gerais duel, with the runner-up taking R$ 630 thousand. Rafael Moraes completed the podium with R$ 384,400, and Fabiano Kovalski closed the list of prize winners, taking R$ 205 thousand in fourth place.
Also among the High Rollers, another competition that took over the BSOP Winter tables was the 25K High Roller PKO. In this contest, however, 63 entries formed the field, and at the end of the action, a “hermano” took the title. Fidel Soria, from Argentina, was crowned champion and took home R$ 410 thousand.

In the heads-up, Soria overcame the businessman from Paraíba José Carlos Barbosa, who took R$ 230 thousand. The other foreign representative at the FT completed the top 3. Sebastian Fonseca, from Colombia, narrowly missed becoming a two-time champion at the stage, taking R$ 145 thousand for third place.

Additionally, on Friday (24), there was also the 10K 1-Day High Roller. In this somewhat more accessible contest, the field reached 104 entries, and Felipe Costa was the champion. He was part of a 3-handed deal and took R$ 189,300, while the runner-up Matheus Wolf took R$ 155,400. Marcos “Sketch”, in third, took home R$ 126,300.

Finally, between Friday and Saturday (25), several other titles stirred the São Paulo tables. Highlight for Ramiro Araújo, a familiar face on the circuit, who won the R$ 2,500 Seniors, a tournament for players aged 50 or older.
