One of the most anticipated moments of this current WSOP (World Series of Poker) happened this Monday (13). At the tables in Las Vegas (USA), the field of the US$ 10,000 Main Event was reduced to nine players, forming the much-coveted final table. Lucas Jumalon, a young American of only 22 years, leads the qualifiers.

Born in the state of Washington, in the northern part of the American West Coast, Lucas Jumalon was able to gather a large stack to advance to the final table. He appears in the chip count with 194,000,000 chips, more than 120 big blinds at the start of the decision. Following him are the Canadian Rami Hammoud and the American Jamie Shaevel.
Among Canadians and Americans, three Europeans are also present at the final table. The French Mario Boos, the Finnish Lauri Saaskilahti, and the Cypriot Evagoras Evagorou are trying to bring the Main Event’s big bracelet to their countries for the first time in history.

The Final Day started with 21 players and big names in the field, such as Shaun Deeb (15th, US$ 410,475) and Hall of Fame member, Todd Brunson (20th, US$ 325,000). Brunson’s fall came thanks to a cruel river, as with AA, he went all in on the river on the 832J board with two clubs. Malcolm Trayner called and showed AJ of clubs, completing the flush at the moment the river revealed the 4 of clubs.

Trayner, in fact, was the chip leader at the start of the round and was the player who sealed the formation of the official FT. With the ten remaining players already sharing the same space, the Australian had a very short stack and, after a pre-flop action, shoved on the flop 884 with two hearts, receiving a call from Lucas Jumalon. Trayner had J4s, and Jumalon held KQo. The American ended up winning the pot on the kicker after the turn 9 and the river 9.
Thus, the action of the WSOP Main Event stopped and will only return on August 3, for the televised final table. The game will resume with 56 minutes remaining in level 39, blinds 1,000,000/1,500,000 bb ante 1,500,000, and all qualifiers have already secured at least US$ 1 million. The champion, finally, will take home US$ 10 million and the most coveted title bracelet in the discipline.
