The main highlight of the first day of BSOP Winter was Day 1 of the BSOP Invitational. The R$ 25k buy-in competition held its initial round, separating the field into professionals and businessmen. At the end of the stage, Rio native Márcio Clare advanced with the largest stack.

Márcio Clare appears in the chip count of 60 remaining players from a field of 171 entries with 2,068,000 chips. Immediately following him is the Colombian beast Carlos Serrano, current circuit champion, with 1,650,000. Hugo Bohn, from Portugal, completes the top 3 with 1,377,000.
Among the businessmen who entered the BSOP Invitational, undoubtedly the biggest highlight was Neymar Júnior. The Santos number 10 took advantage of not being called up for Tuesday’s (21) match and went to the BSOP Winter hall in São Paulo (SP). He will return this Wednesday (22) for the Final Day, as he bagged 756,000 chips.

Furthermore, the Final Day field of the BSOP Invitational is packed with big names from the scene. For example, the chip count includes Paulo Joanello (939,000), Thiago Crema (547,000), Rafael Moraes (492,000), Léo Rizzo (410,000), Alisson Piekazewicz (378,000) and André Akkari (220,000).
The BSOP Invitational will return for its Final Day at 2 PM (Brasília time) this Wednesday with blinds at 5,000/10,000 bb ante 10,000 and 30-minute levels. Late registration will remain available until 3:15 PM, with a starting stack of 200,000 chips.
