The marathon of the Main Event of the WSOP is heading towards the final stretch. After more than ten hours of intense poker at the Horseshoe & Paris complex in Las Vegas, only 174 players out of 9,208 entrants remain alive in the competition. This Saturday (11), they return for Day 6 of the main series event.

Thus, four Brazilians remain in the tournament. Fabio Porcino accumulated the largest stack among them and ended Day 5 with 2,010,000 chips, occupying the 112th position in the chip count. Right behind is Arthur Campos, who bagged 1,950,000 chips and holds the 115th spot.
Additionally, all the Brazilians have very similar stacks. The group also includes Erick Mossinger, holding 1,895,000 chips. He started the journey as the best representative of the country but now appears in 119th place in the chip count. The player has already achieved 3rd place in WSOP Event #53, marking his best performance in the series.
Thus, the green and yellow quartet continuing in the Main Event of the WSOP is completed by the veteran Rafael Caiaffa. He advanced with 840,000 chips and occupies the 159th position in the chip count. Meanwhile, Belarmino de Souza and Dowgh Santos were the last Brazilians eliminated and each secured US$ 57,500.

Zhao Liu leads the Main Event
However, among the tournament survivors, Zhao Liu was the standout. The American was the only player to bag a eight-figure stack, ending the day with 10,150,000 chips. The top 3 of the WSOP Main Event also includes Canadian Dhiraj Sarma, with 9,840,000 chips, and Chinese Xing Yu Liu, who advanced with 9,040,000 chips.
Additionally, several important names also said goodbye to the competition. The current champion Michael Mizrachi was among the eliminated. Likewise, Greg Raymer, Ryan Riess, Alex Foxen, and Artur Martirosian also left the contest during Day 5.
Finally, it is worth noting that Day 6 of the WSOP Main Event starts this Saturday (11), from 3 PM (Brasília time). The blinds will resume at 30,000/60,000, with big blind ante. Meanwhile, the 174 survivors have already guaranteed at least US$ 57,500, but all continue to chase the US$ 10 million prize reserved for the champion.
