The PokerGO Tour tournaments bring together the highest caliber names in world poker. Renowned figures gather in Las Vegas (USA) periodically to play the circuit’s various festivals. This Wednesday (11), the PGT Mixed Games concluded, and among all the stars, Brazilian Yuri Martins was crowned the series’ ranking champion.

Among the seven tournaments on the mixed-game series schedule, Yuri Martins appeared in three heads-ups. He won Event 5, and in the following two days, he returned to the final showdown, taking second place in Events 6 and 7. Thus, he accumulated the most points – 534 – and the largest payout haul, with US$ 745,350 in his account.
Event 7, which confirmed Yuri’s title in the ranking, was the one with the highest buy-in. It was a 10-Game Championship for US$ 25,300, which attracted 64 entries. The Brazilian’s second place in this competition earned him US$ 312,000, and the only one who managed to stop Yuri Martins was American Brian Rast, who pocketed US$ 480,000.

With the ranking conquest, Yuri Martins now secures a spot in the PGT Championship, the freeroll with a guaranteed US$ 1 million held at the end of the PokerGO Tour season. In an Instagram post, he celebrated the achievement. “Countless hours of dedication and commitment for a few moments like these, and they make it all worthwhile,” wrote “TheNerdGuy”.
Starting this Thursday (12), the PGT will begin the Super High Roller Bowl Mixed, with a buy-in of US$ 100,000, and Yuri Martins is confirmed to compete. “This one won’t escape. Let’s go!,” posted the Brazilian, who already has a bronze medal from another edition of this competition on his resume.
