On PokerStars, Gilberto Tavares plays under the nickname “Gilberto.gyn”, and in this Sunday Special, he became the best among 5,337 entries. Thus, he pocketed US$56,880, by far the main Brazilian figure of the session, and the largest share of the US$400,000 prize pool.

However, Brazil also had other highlights in the red site’s grind. Also in a two-day competition, “Saandroalves” reached the heads-up of the US$22 Mini Sunday Million. By finishing in second place in a field of 4,985 entries, the player turned the accessible buy-in into a nice prize of US$6,510.

Furthermore, in the daily tournaments, Brazilians also stood out, including two stars in the US$530 Bounty Builder High Roller.
