In 2026, PokerStars’ highly traditional Sunday Million turns 20. To celebrate this achievement, the site has already announced a gigantic anniversary edition, which will hold dozens of qualifying rounds until the final definition in September. And the following month, the Sunday Million Live will complete the celebration.

After nine years off the PokerStars live event schedule, the Sunday Million Live will return to Italy. The dispute will take place at the PokerStars Live Room at Casino di Campione d’Italia. The venue regularly hosts PokerStars Open stages and is located on the shores of Lake Lugano, in Campione, an Italian enclave in southern Switzerland, amidst the Alps.
The dispute will run from October 2 to 12 and, of course, will have €1 million guaranteed. From October 2 to 9, six Day 1s will take place, with buy-ins of €250 and a starting stack of 50,000 chips, continuing until 12.5% of the field remains. On October 10, the organization plans to hold Day 2A and Day 2B.

Soon after, on October 11, the field will join for the first time to play Day 3. And finally, on October 12, the ultimate Day 4 will reveal the great champion of the Sunday Million Live. The only other time this tournament happened live was in 2017, at King’s Casino, in Rozvadov (Czech Republic). On that occasion, the field had 5,045 entries, awarding the champion Philipp Salewski, from Germany, a prize of €111 thousand.
And while the action isn’t rolling on the Italian tables, players can participate in the Anniversary Sunday Million on PokerStars. The competition has US$5 million guaranteed and a US$109 buy-in, with qualifying rounds already underway. In the lobby, there is a special tab for this event. Phase 2, bringing together the qualifiers, will finally take place on September 6.
