Thus, besides the title, Yanting Jiang experienced unforgettable days. The champion celebrated her birthday one day before the final and ended Day 3 leading in chips among the 16 survivors. “I still can’t believe it. I feel lucky. I am a single mother, have two children, and just pray for whatever God wants to give me”, she said in an interview with PokerNews.
Additionally, eight Brazilians reached the tournament’s payout zone. The highest placed was Gregory Fabiao, eliminated in 60th place for US$ 21,684. The list also included Dennys Ramos (103rd – US$ 9,985) and Gabriel Schroeder (189th US$ 8,779). Other well-known names like Luiz Torres, João Simão, and Vivian Saliba also cashed.

However, after regaining the lead, Yanting Jiang rode the momentum to dominate the tournament’s final stretch. Moreover, she eliminated the last four opponents in the competition, including Chahn Jung in the heads-up, to secure her first WSOP career title.
Nevertheless, right after lifting the bracelet, Yanting Jiang revealed that money and the trophy were not her first thoughts. Instead, she highlighted the importance of family and revealed how she plans to celebrate the achievement. “The first thing I want to do is take my children on a trip”, she told PokerNews.
Finally, with this performance, Yanting Jiang now appears on The Hendon Mob with US$ 1,197,563 in live circuit earnings. The result is extremely significant, as before this score, the player’s biggest prize was only US$ 24,650, won precisely at this WSOP, with a 47th place in the US$ 1,000 Mystery Millions.
