On this Thursday (9), the tables in Las Vegas (USA) hosted Day 4 of the US$ 10,000 Main Event of the WSOP (World Series of Poker). Right at the start of the round, the bubble burst, guaranteeing 1,380 players in the money. And by the end of the round, 533 players bagged chips, with Belarmino Souza and more Brazilians among the remaining players.

Among the 533 survivors from the total field of 9,208 entries, 11 are Brazilians. Belarmino Souza appears with 2,725,000 chips, the best position among the country’s competitors. Lucas Bandeira follows closely on the list of green and yellows, with 1,710,000, and Vinícius Lima records 1,405,000.

Some other players from the country left the WSOP Main Event during Day 4, already cashing. By a narrow margin, Marco Aurélio “Salsicha” did not make it to Day 5, finishing in 538th place for US$ 32,500. Also eliminated near the end of the round were Natham Neto (573rd, US$ 30,000), André Cabrini (612th, US$ 27,500) and Lucas Fauth (697th, US$ 25,000).
Thus, the overall partial lead is held by American Sam Sweilem, who advanced with 3,800,000 chips. He is followed by compatriot Steven O’Nan, who has 3,600,000. Completing the top 3 is one of the biggest names in world poker today, the Russian Artur Martirosian, with 3,495,000 chips.

Finally, it is also worth highlighting among the survivors four Main Event champions. The stars are aiming for an unprecedented second championship of the world’s main poker tournament, including the current champion Michael Mizrachi, who appears in the chip count with 440,000 chips. Additionally, Greg Raymer (535,000), Ryan Riess (455,000), and Hossein Ensan (255,000) are also still alive.
The WSOP Main Event will hold its Day 5 this Friday (10) starting at 3 PM (Brasília time). With 120-minute levels, the action will resume at blinds 10,000/20,000 bb ante 20,000 and is expected to advance five more levels. All qualifiers have already guaranteed at least US$ 32,500.
